Child Safety Standards

Our commitment

LobbyLab, operated by CardGrader LLC, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, the sexualization of minors in any form (including drawings, fiction, AI-generated content and jokes), and any attempt to contact, trade or traffic children for sexual purposes.

Anyone who does any of these things on LobbyLab is permanently banned, the content is removed, and we report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement. These standards apply to every part of LobbyLab: the website at lobbylab.gg, the iOS and Android apps, the games people build and play, and the Multiplayer API.

How LobbyLab is designed to prevent abuse

We build safety into how LobbyLab works, not only into our rules:

• 13 and older. Accounts are for people 13 and older. We ask for age at sign up; someone who says they are under 13 cannot create an account, and that device cannot try again for 30 days. If we learn a child under 13 has an account, we close it.
• Stricter defaults for teens. Players aged 13 to 17, and anyone whose age we do not know, can only get friend requests from people they have played with, cannot be found by searching their handle, and get invites only from friends. For players under 16 these settings are locked, and their notifications hide names and game titles by default.
• No private messaging. LobbyLab has no free text chat and no direct messages between players. Players interact through the games themselves.
• No image uploads. Avatars are chosen from a preset set; players cannot upload photos or images.
• Games cannot collect personal information. Games are not allowed to ask players for their name, age, location, school, photos or contact details, and we check games for it before they are listed.
• Prompts and games are checked. Every prompt is checked before a game is built. Anything that sexualizes minors is blocked outright, never rewritten, and flagged to our team. New games are reviewed and age rated before they are listed publicly.
• Names are checked. Display names and handles are checked when they are set, and cannot contain links, emails or phone numbers.
• Reporting and blocking everywhere. Players can report games and players and block anyone. Blocking takes effect immediately.
• Human review. Every report involving a minor is reviewed by a person on our team, and severe reports are prioritized.
• Banned means banned. We take steps to stop banned people from coming back with new accounts.

How to report a concern

• If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States) right away.
• In LobbyLab: use Report on the game or the player's profile where it is offered, or send us a message through the Help and support page and choose "Child safety".
• By email: write to [email protected] with the subject "Child safety".
• To NCMEC: anyone can report suspected child sexual exploitation to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or by calling 1-800-843-5678. Outside the United States, you can also contact your national hotline through INHOPE.

Please do not download, copy or share suspected abuse material, even to report it. Tell us where it is (for example the game's link or the player's handle), and we will take it from there.

What we do when we receive a report

1. Act quickly. Reports about child safety go to the front of our queue. We aim to act within 24 hours and faster where possible.
2. Remove and restrict. We remove or disable the content and restrict or ban the accounts involved.
3. Report. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline, as United States law requires (18 U.S.C. 2258A). NCMEC makes reports available to law enforcement agencies in the United States and around the world.
4. Preserve. We preserve the reported content and related account information for as long as the law requires, so that law enforcement can investigate, and we keep it secured with access limited to the people who need it.
5. Cooperate. We respond to valid legal requests from law enforcement and cooperate with investigations.
6. Protect the investigation. We do not tell the person being reported when doing so could interfere with an investigation or put a child at risk.

Compliance

CardGrader LLC complies with the child safety laws that apply to LobbyLab, including United States federal law on the reporting of child sexual abuse material, and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act for children under 13. We review these standards as LobbyLab grows and new features are added, and we update them when our safety measures change.
